5 Chapel Street Cambridge

5 Chapel Street is a lovely new BandB in a beautiful old house close to the river in Cambridge. A pleasant riverside stroll leads to the historic city centre in around 20 minutes. The house is situated in a quiet area where there is free on street parking but as you do not need a car in Cambridge, we are happy to lend bicycles to our guests. We do not make a charge for this service but can also not guarantee availability. Please advise us at the time of booking if you are interested in borrowing a bike and we will do our best to have one ready for you.We have three guest bedrooms: one room has twin beds that can be converted into a king-size bed on request while the other two are furnished with double beds. The beds are made up with Egyptian cotton and feather and down duvets and pillows. Hyper-allergenic bedding is also available on request. All our bedrooms have en-suite facilities as well as flat screen TVs and free WiFi access. As one might expect in a Georgian townhouse, not all the rooms are large but they are furnished in an intelligent way to maximize our guests' comfort. We provide tea and real coffee making facilities with home baked biscuits.Our breakfasts are a source of pride for us, with homemade bread and a choice of cooked breakfast every day. The full English includes a generous serving of free range Suffolk pork sausages and bacon while guests can also choose items such as kedgeree freshly made from Norfolk smoked haddock or Norfolk kippers. We are happy to cater for special diets such as gluten-free and we make rather than buy the gluten-free bread. Other special diets such as vegetarian or vegan are also welcome, please let us know when you make your reservation. Breakfast is usually served between 7.30 and 9 a.m. and we can arrange a different time if necessary, please just ask.
